A shocking case in Chambers County, Alabama, ended in an unexpected way after investigators concluded that Daniel Robbins, 44, died of a heart attack while attempting to dispose of the body of his girlfriend, Jessica Folds, whom authorities believe he had strangled during a domestic dispute.

A Disturbing Discovery

On June 10, 2026, a passerby noticed an abandoned pickup truck along County Road 86 near Lanett, Alabama. The truck’s engine was still running, the driver’s door was open, and the tailgate was down.

The witness also saw drag marks leading from the truck into a wooded area. Curious, he followed them and spotted what he first thought were two mannequins lying in the brush. They were actually two bodies.

Deputies soon identified them as 47-year-old Jessica Folds and 44-year-old Daniel Robbins.

Investigators Believe Robbins Collapsed

According to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, Jessica Folds died from manual strangulation, and investigators believe she was killed during a domestic dispute the previous night.
